Ontario businesses can stack multiple incentive programs to dramatically reduce the cost of EV charging infrastructure. Every program listed below requires installation by a licensed electrical contractor in compliance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code. Mavric Electric meets every requirement.

Tax Considerations for Businesses: EV charging infrastructure may qualify for accelerated depreciation under CCA Class 43.2, allowing businesses to write off a significant portion of the cost in the first year. Up to 50% of Project Costs

The Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program, administered by Natural Resources Canada, covers up to 50% of eligible EV charging infrastructure costs for workplaces, multi-unit residential buildings, and fleets. The program runs through 2027.

oNTARIO - CHARGEON PROGRAM

25% to 75% of Eligible Costs

Administered by the Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network on behalf of the Ministry of Transportation, ChargeON provides post-construction rebates for the installation of public EV charging stations. Maximum $1 million per project. Applications are intake-based with funding reviewed periodically.

Up to $100,000 per Applicant

Covers up to 50% of total project costs, including up to $5,000 per Level 2 port. Open to Ontario-based businesses, building owners, and organizations installing chargers at workplaces, parking facilities, and multi-unit buildings.
